The events industry is one of the largest industries in the world. This qualification will allow the student to enter this industry with a unique set of skills and experience. Students will learn to plan and execute small events such as a conference or wedding to a large-scale event like the KykNet buite Expo or Cycling events.
Teamwork, problem solving, planning and organisational skills form a big part of this qualification. The student will learn event logistics, safety, and security and ensuring that everything is in place before, during and after the event. Research, marketing and finance are fundamental to any event and will be dealt with in detail during the qualification.
The student will also be introduced to a self development and management programme, a short entrepreneurial programme and leadership development toe quip them for management and leadership positions in the industry.
