Introduction to Hotel Management
Introduction to Hotel, Resort and Lodge Management

This 12-month qualification is a combination of short courses arranged as skills programmes and basic certificates, that prepare the student to do specific tasks and to master the basic skills needed in the tourism, hospitality and conservation industries.

Students participate in vocational/occupational workplace learning, through which they are introduced to the workplace processes and main aspects of each department. This benefits the student in two ways: They gain a good idea of the work that they may be interested in, while in the process of becoming skilled.

They are then in a position, after their first year, to decide what they would like to specialise in during their 2nd and 3rd years of training. They become multi-skilled. This means that they can do more than one type of work and improves their chances of finding a job. i.e., they become employable.
